The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife has been given an approval to offer mass communication.
This was confirmed by the University’s spokesperson, Mr. Biodun Olarewaju, on the telephone.
Some professors in the Faculty of Arts at the University also confirmed the development.
Though the university has produced numerous veterans in the media industry, it has no Mass Communication Department before now.
