Aurecon Lesotho Office Appoints Kompi Nthejane As New Office Manager

Global engineering and Infrastructure advisory company Aurecon has appointed Kompi Nthejane as the new Office Manager for the company’s Lesotho office. Nthejane has been a Professional Quantity Surveyor in Aurecon’s Bloemfontein Office and has 10 years of extensive experience in areas such as planning and programming of contract works, resource determination, litigation and arbitration, planned preventative maintenance, and the maintenance of buildings.

“Lesotho is a priority growth market for Aurecon and our involvement in the country dates back to the 1950s when the first studies for what would become the Lesotho Highlands Water Projectwere initiated,” says José Miranda, Aurecon Regional Director, Greater Afrika.

“Lesotho is known for its great men and one of the greats that the country produced is Kompi. As Aurecon, we are grateful that you’ve raised him, educated and nurtured him and now we send him back to you as Head of the Aurecon office in Lesotho,” adds Miranda.

Nthejane obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Quantity Surveying in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Studies in 2005, both from the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. He also completed a Diploma in Construction Studies at the Lerotholi Polytechnic, Lesotho, in 2000, and is a professional member of both the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) and Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS). Before joining Aurecon in 2016, he worked at the Lesotho Ministry of Public Works, Lethola Cost Associates and Chris Lebona Architects.
