“The Genius Media join with other well-meaning Nigerians to call on the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Government of Nigeria, Lagos State Government, Nigerian Prison Service & Chief Justice of The Federation to ensure justice is served for James Eze (LA/18B/2361) even after his release from Prison.”

A twitter user lamented the state of the abysmal display injustice & human right breach from Nigerian Police Force. This is coming just a day after a serving Youth Corp Member James Eze with the State code, LA/18B/2361 was arrested in front of his house during a mass arrest by men of the Nigerian Police Force led by the DPO Bariga State, the mass arrest was carried out due to a report from the country’s power holding corporation that there is an illegal connection in the area.

The corp member was said to have been charged to court and subsequently sent to Ikoyi prison directly with other detainees that were arrested during the raid, while all efforts to secure James bail by the State cordinator for NYSC in Lagos State alongside some lawyers were vehemently turned down by men of the Police Force, Bariga station, James Eze is still locked up in Ikoyi prison and he is supposed to be here in lagos state serving his fatherland.

The question on every Nigerian’s lip right now is, Is this what the youths are supposed to be going through all in the name of serving your fathers land? Shouldn’t these corp members be protected by men of the Nigeria Police Force? Just a few months ago, an officer of the Nigerian Police Force identified as Benjamin Peters pulled the trigger that ended the life of a youth corps who was supposed to pass out a day after.

We are appealing to men of the Force, Military and para Military outfits to please see these youth corpers as their brothers & sister and treat them as such because they have parents waiting for them in their respective homes. They deserve to be treated with respect.

The Genius Media join with other well-meaning Nigerians to call on the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Government of Nigeria, Lagos State Government, Nigerian Prison Service & Chief Justice of The Federation to ensure justice is served for James Eze (LA/18B/2361) even after his release from Prison.
