Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Oyo state, have on Sunday elected Engineer Oluwaseyi Makinde as the gubernatorial candidate of the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Makinde emerged at the gubernatorial candidate of the party at its primary election held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (formerly Liberty Stadium) Oke-Ado, Ibadan, the state capital.
He scored 2,772 votes to defeat his rival in the race, Senator Hamzat Ayoade Adeseun who got 21 votes in the result of the election announced Sunday night.
