Gernot Rohr advises Musa, Iheanacho to quit Leicester City

The super eagles coach Gernot Rohr has urged Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa to  quit  Leicester City for regular football elsewhere.

Sources  claim that the German coach  is not happy that the players  have been warming the bench at the Premier League club.

Iheanacho and Musa, who helped Nigeria qualified for the Russia 2018 World Cup, are favourites for places in Rohr’s squad  for the tournament.

And the former Gabon manager is worried they are not active six months to the World Cup.

Both   forwards have struggled for game-time under Claude Puel and Rohr expects them to move on this January.

The Sun  reported on Monday  that  Leicester  would  cut their losses on £25m Iheanacho, signed just five months ago.

Puel told  the UAE 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup Golden Ball winner  he needs to improve all aspects of his game if he is to force his way into the starting line-up, according to Leicester Mercury.

Iheanacho  has made just six appearances this season after his move from Manchester City and has not  even made the substitute’s bench on occasions.

Iheanacho came on as a sub in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Fleetwood Town but in the absence of the injured Jamie Vardy Puel turned to Islam Slimani to lead the line instead.

Rohr also told SuperSport that he expects  Musa to exit the King power Stadium in search of first-team action.

This wouldn’t be too much of a surprise as even Puel has admitted the £16m signing leaving is a “possibility” during the transfer window.

“I expect these players who are not playing regularly, especially Musa and Iheanacho, to get another club in the same league or elsewhere,” said Rohr.
