Embattled Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, seems to have reconciled with her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry, as she re-followed him on Instagram on Thursday.
The 40-year-old actress unfollowed the hotelier on social media at the peak of their domestic violence controversy last year.
Gentry was remanded in prison after he was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on a three-count charge under the State Criminal law 2011.
Upon his release, he launched a social media war against the actress whose complaint to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) led to his detention.
He accused her of sleeping around and not caring for her own parents among other things.
Mercy, on her part, released images and granted an interview showing injuries allegedly inflicted on her by Gentry.
Signs that things might have thawed between the two emerged on Monday when Gentry sent a message to wish his wife a happy 40th birthday.
He wrote that despite the disagreement between the two, Mercy remains called her his wife and the mother of his children.
Coming while the Osas actress is caught in the midst of a controversy over a bride’s undelivered dress, the gesture from Gentry was reciprocated with an Instagram follow on Thursday.
