Tragedy struck in Asaba, the Delta State capital, on Thursday when a water tank fell inside the newly renovated stadium collapsed and fell on some vehicles.

Eyewitnesses told Channels Television that the iron frame supporting the tank which supplies water to the swimming pool in the stadium gave way, causing the tank to fall and destroy properties.
