Ahead of Saturday Governorship election in Ekiti state, Policemen stationed at the Ekiti State Government House in Ado-Ekiti has reportedly fired canisters of tear gas at the incumbent Governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose, the governor who reportedly collapse but was revived by his supporters.
Lere Olayinka, the spokesman of the governor, said his principal was taken to government house clinic after the incident.
A combined team of security operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Police Force, laid siege to the government house.

The party alleged that the governor was pulled on the floor after security operatives, allegedly acting on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari, took over his office at the Ekiti State Government House in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
