The 9th wife of the Alaafin of Oyo Kingdom, HRM Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has reacted to viral speculation of her alleged secret romance with the King of Fuji music, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshall a.k.a. K1 De Ultimate .
A Dublin Ireland based society lady, Esther Aboderin a.k.a. Esabod, had stirred the honet’s nest when had alleged in viral video clip that the Fuji music superstar had been secretly sleeping with Olori Badirat Ajoke, who is one of thirteen wives of the 82 years old Alaafin Adeyemi, who made him (Wasiu) Maiyegun of Yorubaland.
As a result of the speculation, the aged monarch was said to have sacked the 31 years old beautiful queen from the Palace.
All the while the story was yet to be reacted to, members of the public had been giving flesh to it in the social media, indicating that indeed there cannot be smoke without fire.
Olori Badirat is said to be presently having her mandatory one-year NYSC service having graduated from the university last year.
Meanwhile, the accused Oba Adeyemi’s queen has denied dating K1 De Ultimate. The Olori, who called into a live online talkshow on Thursday morning over the raging issue, said;
”I was hearing of the woman, Esabod for the first time when a friend sent me the clip from UK. When I got the clip, I went through all her past posts and discovered that it was her stock-in-trade to scandalize persons. But she doesn’t know me. Why is she after me? I’m not dating Wasiu. If I’m dating Wasiu, all the deities in Alaafin’s palace should punish me; the spirits of the past Alaafins and Oloris should reward me accordingly…”
Meanwhile, K1 through his media adviser, Kunle Rasheed, released a rejoinder on Thursday evening denying the allegation as well as threatening possible lawsuits where necessary.

”The attention of Fuji Maestro and Mayegun of Yorubaland, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, K1 De Ultimate, has been drawn to the rumour making the rounds in the past 48 hours, on social media platforms, where it has been alleged that the music icon was having an affair with Olori Ajoke, one of the wives of Alayeluwa, the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111.
Ordinarily, one would have waved off this allegation as one coming from the warped mind of one possibly numbed by high COVID-19 fever.
But as known in these parts, a lie repeatedly told, has a way of transmuting to the truth.
Let me categorically state that the rumour is lies concocted from the pit of hell by those whose aim is to drag to the mud, the name of K1 De Ultimate and ultimately that of the most revered kingdom in Yoruba land.
These agents of Lucifer have continued in their warped delusions to see K1 go to the ground just for being conferred with the title of Mayegun of Yoruba land. The Alaafin’s crime is the conferment of the honour, hence the grim plot to drag him down also. Moreover, the highly respected Monarch and his Olori have both debunked the story as baseless and unfounded.
For the records, as the Mayegun of Yorubaland, K1 is aware of the customs and traditions of the Yoruba and as such, can not put the culture and tradition of the Yorubaland to disrepute.
Let me remind the rumour mongers that Nigeria has adequate laws to bring anyone who has embarked on character assassination of the innocent to book. The fans and the general public should rest assured that we will legally seek redress for this allegation.”
