The Officials at Austrian club LASK Linz are expecting to be told Thursday’s Europa League match against Manchester United must be played behind closed doors because of Coronavirus.
The two clubs are still to be contacted by official sources, so are continuing to plan for the game to go ahead as scheduled.
However, they were aware of a governmental meeting taking place this morning and have noted subsequent reports in Austria stating that all matches must be played without spectators.
United and UEFA are also trying to establish the exact position.
According to BBC Sports, Austrian health minister Rudolf Anschober at a press conference this morning as reported in Austrian media said all outdoor events of over 500 participants will be canceled.
“This morning we decided to cancel all outdoor events with over 500 participants and all indoor events with over 100 participants by the beginning of April.”

It is reported that over 900 Manchester United fans have bought tickets for the match against LASKS, but the report in Austria has that money for the tickets will be refunded if the game is played behind closed doors.
The two clubs while still waiting for official confirmation from Uefa, LASKS hosts have now sent a Tweet asking for “patience” while a decision is made.
Barcelona vs Napoli in the Champions League will also be played behind closed doors.
