A lady’s leg has been cut off by a 40 feet container which fell off a bridge in Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos state, on Saturday January 8, 2020.

It took the efforts of officials of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) to successfully free the lady’s leg held in the wreckage of the fallen container.

According to an eyewitness, the tragedy which occurred at about 6.30p.m., caused panic and traffic jam as passers-by scampered for safety.

LESEMA’s Public Affairs Officer, Nosa Okunbo, said:

“The 40 feet container fell from the bridge on a female passerby. Unfortunately the lady was trapped under it; she has now been extricated and taken to the hospital by officials of LASAMBUS.”
