Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala, has shared an inspirational message after Nigeria’s 0-1 loss to France in the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday night.
France made it a three-game sweep in Group A after a controversial decision by the video assistant referee set up the game’s only goal.
Super Zee, as Asisat is fondly called wrote a message to lift spirits on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Like I always say….The Marathon Continues 🏁🏁,” she wrote.
Nigeria finished 3rd in the group after the Monday game as rivals Norway secured a win over South Korea to advance to the next round.
The ladies are forced to wait to seal qualification to the Round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria needs results from other groups to go in their favour in order to move to the next round.
The Super Falcons failed to qualify for the knockout stages in the last World Cup in 2015.
