#FAJO2018: Simi steps out as chief bridesmaid as mum remarries

Simisola Ogunleye, simply known on the music scene as Simi, was maid of honour at her mother’s wedding on Saturday.

The 29-year-old who started her career as a gospel singer joined others at the Daystar Christian Centre in Oregun, Lagos for what was tagged #FAJO2018.

Simi’s mum, Jedidiah Ogunleye, had announced during the New Year crossover service at Daystar that she was getting married 20 years after she reportedly separated from the singer’s father.

“Just this year a man walked into my life and as you can see, I am now engaged and would be getting married in January 2018,” she told the stunned congregation.
