Men of the Ondo State Police Command have been accused of arresting and brutalising students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA at random.

It was gathered that on Thursday, Policemen drafted to the school to enforce the closure of the institution by the management went on rampage, arresting students and brutalized some students in the process.

Recall that on Wednesday, the students had protested against the university’s management over the new policy of ‘No School Fees, No Test/Examination‘ introduced during the continuous assessment exercise at the CBT center.

Subsequently, to forestall breakdown of law and order in the institution, management announced the closure of the school and directed that all students to proceed on compulsory mid-semester break until May 20 resumption date.

In the early hours of Thursday, security agents were seen stationed at strategic points of the university gates where some students were arrested and brutalized.
