Governor Nyesom Wike has been declared winner of the Rivers Governorship Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Wike who contested under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 886,264 votes to win the polls 2019 governorship election in the state.

The final collation of the governorship election results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), shows he polled 886,264 votes ahead of his closest rival, Biokpomabo Awara, candidate of the African Alliance Congress (AAC), who garnered 173,859 votes.
