Diego Maradona Slams Messi And Argentine Team After 3-1 Venezuela Loss

Diego Maradona has slammed the Argentine national team after they suffered a 3-1 loss to underdogs Venezuela who prevented Lionel Messi from having a dream comeback to the team.

The game saw goals from Salomon Rondon, Jhon Murillo, and Josef Martinez of Venezuela to defeat La Albiceleste who managed a consolation goal from Lautaro Martinez at the Wanda Metropolitano.

When Maradona was asked if he had watched the game, the Argentine football legend said:

‘No I didn’t see the Argentina game, I don’t watch horror movies.

‘The inept people who will govern the national team, did they think they were going to beat Venezuela? They are a good team.

‘Argentina entered through the window, not even through the door because they betray and lie to people all the time. I’m sorry but they won’t win games.

‘I feel very Argentine but I feel with other coaches and players like Ruggeri, Batista, Giusti, Pumpido, Caniggia it would be different.

‘This team don’t deserve the shirt. They don’t have a clue and I’m sorry for the people of Argentina who continue to believe these liars and for the players who have to put up with it.’
