The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, said on Friday that he received a call from the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

In a tweet on Friday, Atiku said Mr Pompeo called him to reaffirm “the international community’s commitment to free and fair elections in Nigeria.”
