TikToker Peller Raises Alarm Over Fake Dollars At Wedding
Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has claimed that nearly $30,000 in U.S. dollar bills sprayed on him during his traditional wedding to fellow content creator, Elizabeth Amadou, popularly known as Jarvis, were declared counterfeit by his bank.
Peller made the revelation during a TikTok livestream days after the couple’s lavish traditional wedding held on August 1, 2026, in Lekki, Lagos.
According to him, he visited his bank to deposit the cash gifts received during the ceremony. While the naira notes were accepted without any issues, he said the foreign currency failed the bank’s verification process.
He alleged that the rejected counterfeit bills were worth almost $30,000.
“When I got to the bank, they told me the dollars were fake. People who gave me real money, I know them if I see them. They sprayed me fake dollars,” Peller said.
He added, “I got home after my wedding thinking I was already a millionaire. I used the money to make a video, saying, ‘Hello, Hello,’ thinking I’m rich, but it was fake.
“You people didn’t notice that I didn’t talk about the dollars again. Is it by force to spray money at someone’s wedding?, he queried.
