BREAKING: Nigerian Super Falcons Players Robbed In Morocco [WATCH HERE]
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that some players in the Nigerian Super Falcons team have been robbed at their hotel in Casablanca, Morocco.
In a video seen by this publication, some of the players, including Rasheeda Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Osinachi Ohale, Joy Omewa, and Halimatu Ayinde, have registered complaints of funds missing from their purses.
The money lost ranges from $100 to $700, with no hope in sight towards recovering it.
“Several players have alleged that money was stolen from their wallets while they were away from their rooms at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco.”
According to the players, they have reported to the hotel authorities, but they didn’t appear shocked, indicating that it is a normal activity in the hotel. They added that the management of the hotel got angry because they are making complaints.
“We started talking to them, but they don’t even have answers. They started getting disrespectful”.
The players, however, called on everyone to boycott the hotel because, according to them, it’s not a good place.
The Super Falcons players are in the country for the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) competition, and will have their first match on Tuesday against Malawi.
