JUST IN: Training Begins As NAF Names Successful Candidates For 2025 Recruitment

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the release of the list of successful candidates for enlistment into the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 46/2025, directing all shortlisted applicants to report for military training on July 19, 2026.

The development marks the conclusion of the selection phase of the nationwide recruitment exercise, which attracted thousands of applicants seeking careers in the Nigerian Air Force.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who advised applicants to check their names on the official Nigerian Air Force recruitment portal.

According to the statement, only candidates who successfully passed the selection interview and whose names appear on the published list have been offered provisional enlistment into the service.

The Air Force said the successful applicants are expected to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process by reporting for military training at the designated venue.

Training begins July 19 in Kaduna

NAF said all shortlisted candidates are to report to the Nigerian Air Force Military Training Centre (MTC), NAF Base, Kaduna, on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

The service explained that the Basic Military Training Course is designed to prepare recruits for life in the military through intensive physical, mental and professional training.

According to the Air Force, participants will undergo rigorous exercises aimed at developing discipline, leadership qualities, physical fitness and operational competence expected of military personnel.

The statement added that successful completion of the training programme remains a key requirement for enlistment into the Nigerian Air Force.

Candidates were advised to report on the specified date and time, as late arrival or failure to report without valid reasons could affect their admission into the training programme.

Successful candidates must present required documents

The Nigerian Air Force directed all successful applicants to report with both the original copies and photocopies of their credentials for verification.

The required documents include educational certificates, birth certificates or declarations of age, certificates of origin, valid means of identification and every other document specified in the recruitment guidelines.

Candidates were also instructed to come with items listed on the official recruitment portal to facilitate their admission into the training camp.

The Air Force urged applicants to carefully read all instructions before travelling to Kaduna in order to avoid mistakes that could delay or jeopardise their enlistment.

It stressed that only candidates who satisfy all documentation requirements would be allowed to proceed with the training exercise.

Recruitment remains free, NAF warns

The Air Force reiterated that its recruitment process is completely free and warned applicants against fraudsters posing as recruitment agents.

According to the statement, no individual, organisation or military officer has been authorised to demand money in exchange for enlistment or preferential treatment during the recruitment process.

NAF urged successful candidates and members of the public to disregard anyone claiming to have the ability to influence recruitment outcomes.

It also advised applicants to report any suspected cases of fraud or extortion to the appropriate security agencies, warning that those engaging in such illegal activities would face the full weight of the law.

The service maintained that recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force is strictly based on merit, transparency and compliance with established procedures.

Air Force reaffirms commitment to merit-based recruitment

The Nigerian Air Force said it remains committed to maintaining a transparent and credible recruitment system aimed at attracting qualified Nigerians into military service.

It noted that the enlistment exercise forms part of efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Air Force by recruiting capable young Nigerians willing to serve the country.

The service encouraged successful candidates to prepare themselves mentally and physically for the challenges of military life, describing the training programme as demanding but rewarding.

It also urged unsuccessful applicants not to lose hope, encouraging them to continue preparing for future recruitment exercises as opportunities become available.

According to the Air Force, building a professional and highly disciplined workforce remains central to its mission of protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity, supporting internal security operations and responding effectively to emerging security threats across the country.

The statement added that the service will continue to uphold fairness, professionalism and integrity throughout its recruitment process while providing equal opportunities to qualified Nigerians who aspire to pursue careers in the military.
