After Beating Portable, Carter Efe Challenges Wizkid to Celebrity Boxing Match
Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has publicly challenged Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid to a celebrity boxing match.
Carter Efe made the comments during a recent livestream appearance with businessmen Kcee and E-Money, where he claimed confidence following his involvement in Nigeria’s celebrity boxing scene.
He stated that after what he described as “dethroning” fellow entertainer Portable, he now wants to step into the ring with Wizkid.
The streamer further said he would like Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, to be present during the proposed fight.
“The person I want to fight with now is Wizkid and I want his son, Boluwatife to be there too,” he said.
Carter Efe also added that the match would serve as an opportunity for Wizkid’s son to “collect the championship” from him, a statement that has sparked reactions online.
The challenge appears to be linked to a long-standing disagreement between both entertainers, stemming from Carter Efe’s tribute track Manchala, which he released in honour of Wizkid years ago. The streamer has previously accused the singer of not acknowledging or supporting the effort.
Wizkid, however, has largely remained silent on the repeated provocations and has not publicly responded to the latest boxing challenge.
