BREAKING: Anthony Gordon QUIT Newcastle?
NEWCASTLE star Anthony Gordon is open to leaving St James’ Park this summer amid interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe.
Gordon, 25, is among the Magpies’ stars linked with a big move, especially if the team misses out on European qualification, alongside Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Tino Livramento.
According to The Telegraph, the winger is being monitored by Arsenal and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool could also rekindle their interest in the England international after coming close to signing him in 2024.
And Gordon is keen to explore his options but prefers his future to be sorted before this summer’s World Cup.
However, Newcastle’s asking price for the ex-Everton star will exceed £80million.
Arsenal have a long-standing admiration for the forward, whose name has featured in recruitment planning meetings.
SunSport exclusively revealed the Gunners are leading the race for his signature with an opening bid of £75million.
Bayern, where his England team-mate Harry Kane plays, have been widely credited with an interest in Gordon this week.
Reports suggested the reigning German champions are weighing up a bid in the region of £55 to 60m, which the Toon would not entertain.
