Papaya Ex Offers ₦700K to Recover Stolen iPhone in Lagos
Nigerian influencer and actress Abike Raheem, popularly known as Papaya Ex, has appealed to the public for help in recovering her missing iPhone, which disappeared during a movie premiere in Lagos.
The actress disclosed via her Instagram page that the device—an iPhone 16 Pro Max in a pink case—was stolen from her personal assistant at the Arinzo movie premiere.
According to her, the phone contains vital contacts, documents, and ongoing work projects, making its recovery especially urgent.
“Y’all they just stole my phone… please I use almighty God to beg you, if you find any iPhone 16 Pro Max pink case, I swear I’ll give you 500k,” she initially wrote.
She later increased the reward to ₦700,000, stressing that the data stored on the phone is far more valuable than the device itself.
Papaya Ex revealed that the phone went missing near the front table close to the stage at the event venue. She pleaded with whoever finds it not to tamper with or wipe the device.
“Please don’t wipe the phone… all my documents from 2015 is there… please don’t let me start from scratch,” she added.
To encourage its safe return, she offered anonymous options, including contacting her through a burner account or dropping the phone at her mother’s shop located in Ereko, Lagos Island.
She also cautioned the public against purchasing any phone that displays her personal photos, urging people to help spread the message as efforts to recover the device continue.
