The Obidient Movement has welcomed citizen-led mobilisation across Nigeria, including the Village Boys Movement plan for a “2 Million Man March and ADC Registration Drive” in support of Peter Obi.

In a statement issued on 27 March 2026, the group said the initiative showed citizens organising themselves to take part in the political process.

The first phase of the march is due to take place on 28 March in Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Plateau, Jigawa, Kaduna, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Enugu, Kogi and Edo states, with further events planned for other major centres later.

The Obidient Movement said it had held talks with the Village Boys Movement at national and state levels and recognised the value of such efforts in building participation at the grassroots.

It urged its own members, supporters and any Nigerians who want a more accountable system of government to join peaceful and lawful activities that strengthen democracy.

The statement described the moment as an opportunity to create a structured movement that can bring about political change through better organisation and wider involvement in party registration and other civic work.

It added that the focus should remain on competence, integrity and service to the country.

The Obidient Movement called on political institutions and other stakeholders to address the demand for credible leadership and governance that includes all sections of society.

It said lasting progress would depend on steady coordination and commitment from people in every region.

The statement was signed by Dr Tanko Yunusa, global coordinator of the Obidient Movement.
