BREAKING: Actress Fathia Balogun Loses Mother On Birthday Celebration Eve
Nollywood actress Fathia Balogun has announced the death of her mother, sharing the sad news with fans on social media.
TGM reports that the actress revealed that she recently marked her 55th birthday.
Although her birthday fell on Thursday, February 5, she decided to hold the celebration on Sunday.
Unknown to her at the time, her mother had passed away a day before the planned party, and the information was deliberately kept from her.
She explained that the news still feels unreal because her mother played many roles in her life.
According to her, her late mother was her biggest supporter, prayer partner, close friend, and someone she always shared conversations with, all wrapped in the love of a caring parent.
Fathia said she is finding comfort in Allah during this painful time.
She also disclosed that her family has chosen to maintain privacy as they mourn their loss. She appealed to the public to remember her and her siblings in their prayers.
The actress added that details of her mother’s burial will be shared at a later date.
She wrote: “Dear friends, it was my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5. However, I chose to have a party yesterday, Sunday.
“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party and the news was cruelly kept away from me.
“The reality of her passing has not totally dawned on me because she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner wrapped in the invaluable gift of a mother.
“Whilst I have taken solace in Allah (SWT), the Williams’ family has decided to keep things very private for now. Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period.
“Burial details will be announced later.”
