BREAKING: IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Moved To Sokoto Prison Amid Controversial Life Sentence
Aloy Ejimakor, a former lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has claimed that the Federal Government has transferred him to a correctional facility in Sokoto State.
This comes less than 24 hours after Kanu was handed a life sentence by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court.
The judge had convicted him on multiple counts of terrorism after several years of trial.
Ejimakor, in a post shared on X on Friday, confirmed the development, stating that the relocation would further distance Kanu from his legal team and family members.
“MAZI NNAMDI KANU has just been moved from DSS Abuja to the correctional facility (prison) in Sokoto; so far away from his lawyers, family, loved ones and well-wishers,” he wrote.
