The Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, on Tuesday, formally announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The announcement took place at the Enugu State Government House and had in attendance several leaders and stalwarts of the APC at the national and state levels.

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Mbah is the latest major politician and Governor to defect to the APC ahead of the 2027 election.
He was immediately presented with his membership card at the venue.
