The Genius Media Nigero reports that the monarch, who passed away on Friday, was widely celebrated for his remarkable leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the welfare of his people.

A statement issued by his family on Saturday described his reign as one marked by “unity, cultural preservation, and steady development.”

The family noted that Oba Adeyemi’s tenure was distinguished by initiatives in conflict resolution, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development, all of which strengthened communal bonds.

“Oba Adeyemi’s impact on the community will forever be cherished as testament to his enduring legacies,” the statement read.

Funeral arrangements, according to the family, will be announced in due course.

Born on December 4, 1942, Oba Adeyemi began his career as a teacher before rising through the ranks to become a senior civil servant. He later served as the Sole Administrator of the former Ifesowapo Local Government.

His dedication to community growth continued after his ascension to the throne in 2009, with his reign witnessing several transformative projects.

As Chancellor of Ekiti State University, the late monarch championed initiatives aimed at improving educational standards and expanding access for local students.
