In an inspiring display of love and service, Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse, founder of Freedom for All Nations Outreach (FANO), dedicated a Sunday service to uplifting the lives of the elderly and those in need. The heartfelt gathering, held at the church’s headquarters at 2601 Van Der Hoff Road, Pretoria West, South Africa, was themed “Find Your Place” and reminded worshippers of their calling to care for the vulnerable in their midst.

The service reached a poignant moment when Prophet Akinbodunse invited all worshippers aged 60 and above to step forward. The elderly, some visibly moved, made their way to the altar as the congregation erupted into heartfelt applause. Standing alongside the church’s committee for the elderly, the Prophet prayed fervently for their health, well-being, and long life. Afterward, each elderly participant received not only spiritual blessings but tangible gifts of cash and goodie bags, symbolizing the church’s appreciation for their lives and contributions to the community.

Prophet Akinbodunse spoke with deep conviction about the importance of caring for the elderly, emphasizing their role as pillars of wisdom and experience in society.

“The Bible teaches us to honor our elders and care for those in need,” he said. “When we bless them, we are fulfilling God’s command to love one another as He has loved us.”

The atmosphere was charged with emotion as some elderly recipients expressed gratitude through tears and words of thanks. For many, this act of kindness was not only a material blessing but a testament to God’s love and a reminder that they are cherished.

The service also took an unexpected turn when Prophet Akinbodunse extended his compassion to those struggling with food insecurity. He called out to worshippers who had no food to eat at home after the service, encouraging them not to feel ashamed but to step forward and receive God’s blessings.
One by one, individuals and families approached, their faces a mix of hope and relief.

Prophet Akinbodunse personally distributed cash and food items, ensuring that no one left the church hungry. “God’s house is a place of refuge,” he said. “When you come here, you should leave filled—spiritually and physically.”

This simple yet profound gesture struck a chord with everyone present, reinforcing the church’s mission to be a beacon of light for those in need. The congregation watched with admiration, inspired by their leader’s Christlike example.

Prophet Akinbodunse’s actions were not merely a one-time event but part of a larger call to action. He urged the congregation and Christians worldwide to emulate this spirit of giving in their daily lives. “The world is full of needs,” he reminded them. “When you bless others, you allow God’s light to shine through you. Never underestimate the impact of even a small act of kindness.”

Worshippers left the service not only uplifted but also challenged to do more for their communities. Many shared testimonies of how the day had reignited their faith and inspired them to reach out to the less fortunate in their neighborhoods.

Under Prophet Akinbodunse’s leadership, Freedom for All Nations Outreach has become known as a place where love is not just preached but practiced. This Sunday service was a reminder that true ministry goes beyond the pulpit—it touches lives, meets needs, and restores hope.

As the congregation dispersed, the smiles on the faces of the elderly and needy lingered as a testament to the transformative power of kindness. In a world where such gestures are all too rare, Prophet Akinbodunse’s actions stand as a beacon of what it means to live out the teachings of Matthew 25:40: to serve, to love, and to give without expecting anything in return.
