JUST IN: Watch How Obaseki Escaped Being Stoned At Edo Gov’s Inauguration [VIDEO]—–The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the former governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki reportedly escaped being stoned by the opposition at the inauguration of Senator Monday Okpebholo as the new governor of the state.
In a video seen by TGM, Two residents of Edo state were seen offloading bricks from their vehicles and stating that their initial plan was to stone Obaseki with the stone had he attended the inauguration.
According to the duo, they have been planning to attack the former governor for sometime and they thought the inauguration would have been a perfect moment to carry out their attack, hence, they mobilized the stones in their vehicles to the inauguration venue but the former governor didn’t come.
They expressed regret over their inability to carry out their intention.
The reason behind this wish to stone the state’s former governor wasn’t revealed but this could be connected to the state-wide criticism of Godwin Obaseki’s administration.
