The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid’s star forward, found himself at the centre of controversy on August 29 when his X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked.
A series of provocative tweets were posted from his handle, drawing widespread attention in the football community. These posts fuelled the long-standing rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The hacked account didn’t stop at this rivalry, however. It also included critical remarks about prominent Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.
World attention was drawn to Kylian Mbappe, a key player in modern football when he decided to join Real Madrid this summer. On August 29, 2024, however, his X account was hacked and controversial content was posted. The odd character of the postings made this disaster quite popular.
