BREAKING: “Imade Will Grow Up To See I Fought For Her” – Davido Fires Back At Sophia Momodu For Bringing Up Late Ifeanyi’s Demise—–The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Singer Davido has decided to let Imade, his first Daughter stay with her mum till she become of age.
This is coming after Davido had dragged Momodu to court seeking unfettered and unrestricted access to Imade but to his surprise Sophia Momodu files 102-paragraph counter affidavit to oppose Davido over joint custody of their daughter, Imade.
The 102 paragraphs of counter affidavit was filed through her legal team Anthony Idigbe SAN of Punuka Attorney and Dr Bimpe Ajegbomogun.
TGM recalls that Davido recently filed a suit seeking custody of their daughter.
The suit, marked LD/1587PMC/2024, has as applicant Mr David Adedeji Adeleke, while Ms Sophia Momodu was listed as the sole respondent which marked the beginning of their legal battle over the child’s custody.
Davido through his legal action is seeking a court order granting him joint custody of his daughter, Imade & unrestricted access to her.
According to the singer, he has consistently fulfilled his financial responsibilities towards their child’s well-being, despite his efforts Sophia has been making unreasonable demands, seemingly designed to harass and frustrate him.
By seeking joint custody & unfettered access, Davido aimed to ensure a continued active role in his daughter’s life.
However, Momodu through her legal representatives, debunked the allegations, stating that it was Davido who by his “own choice” has refused to see their daughter since July 2022.
Momodu also revealed that she has “solely shouldered” responsibility for their daughter for the last two years while Davido posts Imade’s pictures on social media to “falsely portray himself as a supportive and active father.”
The next hearing is slated for Friday, July, 5.
Reacting to Sophia Momodu mentioning his’s son’s d£ath Davido took to social media to share his perspective, stating that Sophia often references a past tragedy (likely the stillbirth of their son) to hurt him.
He affirmed his commitment to fighting for his daughter’s best interests and expressed his love for Imade, acknowledging that she will eventually grow up.
The public exchange has drawn attention to the ongoing custody dispute between Davido and Sophia, with fans expressing concern for Imade’s welfare.
