BREAKING: #Hamas Officially Releases 24 Hostages As #IsraelHamas Truce Begins, [SEE FULL LIST AND VIDEO]—-Hamas on Friday released 13 Israelis, 10 Thais and a Filipino national, taking the total number of hostages released to 24, according to the Qatari foreign ministry.
Under the terms of the Israeli-Hamas truce deal, Israel in turn freed 39 Palestinian women and children from jails, Qatar confirmed.
Fighters took 237 people into captivity from Israel after Hamas’s October 7 attack. Under the deal for a four-day truce, Hamas is to release 50 captives in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel and a pause in fighting
Qatari officials have played a main mediating role in hostage deal negotiations.
