BREAKING: President Tinubu Receives Class Of 1999 Governors At State House Amid Consultation [PHOTO]—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday played host to some former Governors who visited him at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
TGM understands the governors who visited Tinubu are the class of 1999.
Recall Tinubu himself is also a member of the set of Governors, which was the first set of elected Governors after Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999.
The ex-governors were at the State House to identify with Tinubu, who was the governor of Lagos State from May 1999 to 2007, and to express solidarity over his recent policies since his assumption of office as Nigeria’s President on May 29, 2023.
Those present at the meeting include former Governors James Ibori (Delta State); Donald Duke (Cross River); Niyi Adebayo (Ekiti); Lucky Igbinedion (Edo); Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia) and Sam Egwu (Ebonyi).
Others are Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu); Ibrahim Turaki Jigawa); Adamu Muazu( Bauchi); Obong Victor Attah (Akwa Ibom); Olusegun Osoba Ogun); Bisi Akande (Osun); Ahmad Yerima (Zamfara); Jolly Nyame (Taraba); Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto) and Joshua Dariye (Plateau).
