What R Kelly Did After Been Sentenced To 30-Year Imprisonment [VIDEO]—-The disgraced singer’s attorneys have stated that R Kelly would appeal his sentence and have asserted that he is “not a predator.”
Following his conviction in his sex trafficking trial, Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in jail earlier today (June 29).
The singer of “I Believe I Can Fly” was in front of the US District Court in New York on Wednesday, June 29, and was facing a minimum penalty of 10 years and a potential term of life in prison.
However, the musician, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, has announced that he will appeal shortly after being given his sentence.
Counsel to R Kelly, Jennifer Bonjean spoke outside the court and explained their plans to appeal, saying;
Mr. Kelly is fine. We are excited for this appeal that we are bringing, obviously, it was a hard day – he’s been sentenced to a serious sentence – but we are confident in our arguments that we raised… that they will persuade the court of appeals.

30 years in prison is like a life sentence for him but at the same time, we knew the government was asking for 25 years, and we were prepared for what the judge might impose.
She also insisted to the press that R Kelly is ‘not a predator’.
Bonjean added;
He has regrets and is sad. He disagrees with the characterisations that have been made about him.
