23 Years After: Lagos Education District 2 Teacher Brings National Productivity Order to Lagos.—-Lagos Teacher from Education District 2, has emerged the winner of 2022 National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award.

The Principal, Community Senior Secondary School, Bayeku, area of Lagos, Mrs Iyabo Elusakin today presented with the Honour in Abuja.

Grassroots Times gathered that the last time Lagos Teacher won the award was twenty three years (23) ago.

Elusakin who was the Winner of 2019 Overall Best Teacher in Nigeria was accompany to receive the honour by Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District 2 Mrs Adekanye Anike.

In a remark by the District Boss, Adekanye Anike Adekanye , noted that “Education District 2, through conscientious, creative implementation of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, has become a leader in Education and Technology advancement, human capital development, Creativity, Innovation and total development of the child.”

“The District produced the first Lagos State recipient of the most coveted National Award in Nigeria after twenty three years.”

It will be recalled that the administration of Adekanye as Permanent Secretary of Education Districts has in the last 5 years produced 3 One-day Governors and 2 One- Deputy Governors of Lagos State.

Also, 2017 One-day Governor and one-day Deputy Governor,
2018 One-day Deputy Governor of Lagos State,
2020 One-day Governor of Lagos State
2021 One-day Governor of Lagos State,
As well as
2020 Best Public Senior Secondary School in Nigeria and
2021 Best Senior Secondary School Teacher in Nigeria among other notable achievements.

The Permanent Secretary appreciated the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for the opportunity to become an inspiration to the youth at this time of the development of Lagos State.

While Commending the Commissioner for Education, Lagos State, Mrs Adefisayo Folasade, for her leadership, and give her best for the development of Education in Lagos State.

She disclosed that Education District 2 is loaded with Teachers and Students that are always desirous of best results at all times.
