JCI Osogbo Oroki Holds Baby Of Impact Project To Achieve UN SDGs 1, 2 And 3 [PHOTOS]—Junior Chamber International (JCI) Osogbo Oroki on 1st January, 2022 paid a courtesy call to the First Baby of the Year at General Hospital Osogbo Osun State donating material gifts ranging from but not limited to Baby Sac, Clothing items, Diapers, Baby Walker, Baby Bed, Cloth Hanger, Socks, Cardigan et al to the new born baby in Osogbo, the Capital city of Osun State as part of it’s activities to mark the new year.
The baby named Trust, Eunice among other names was delivered at exactly 12:00am on the 1st day of January 2022 being the first baby of the year delivered by Mr Ibukun & Mrs Folakemi Joseph at the General Hospital, Osogbo Osun State.
JCI Osogbo Oroki President, JCI Nigeria Ambassador Adeyeye Kehinde Adekola who led other members to the Health Centre in Osogbo to celebrate with the new baby with material gifts as well as a commitment to advance their EducateAChild program to the secondary school level.
The JCI Nigeria Executive Vice President SouthWest JCI Nigeria Ambassador Oluwatoyin Atanda in a Zoom Call congratulated the family as well as appreciate the leadership of JCI Osogbo Oroki for their commitment towards advancing the ideals of the JCI Movement and UN SDGs 1, 2 and 3 aimed at reducing global maternal mortality ratio by acting locally, ending preventable death of newborns and children under 5 through the provision of life support materials to teh mother and child of newborns.
On his part, JCI Osogbo Oroki President, JCI Nigeria Ambassador Adeyeye Kehinde Adekola appreciated JCI Nigeria Ambassador Oluwatoyin Atanda (JCI Nigeria Executive Vice President SouthWest), JCI Nigeria Ambassador Esther Oluwabunmi Kujembola (JCI Nigeria Southwest Director of Programs & Projects) and JCI Nigeria Ambassador Ridhwan Abiodun Salami (JCI Nigeria Southwest Team Secretary) for their presence at the program explaining that the rationale behind the project tagged “Baby of Impact” was aimed at honoring the first baby of the year with gifts (baby items) and provide Educational enhancements towards advancing the EducateAChild ideals of the Local Organization.
According to Adeyeye “I appreciate everyone’s financial, physical and moral support ensuring that the Local Organization New Year Service to Humanity activity is continuously sustained, I acknowledged the involvement of my Council of Past Presidents, Patrons and Active Citizens of JCI Osogbo Oroki to humanity which has been outstanding.
He therefore thanked all Individuals, Corporate partners, other NGOs, Media partners, National Board and South-West Team for their support towards achieving the project.
The JCI Nigeria Southwest Team Secretary JCI Nigeria Ambassador Ridhwan Abiodun Salami in His closing remarks revealed that JCI Osogbo Oroki has been on the project since 2015 and it has been consistent with it.
