Ekiti Govt Extends COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign To Tertiary Institutions, Markets–Ekiti Government has extended its vaccination campaign against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic to tertiary institutions and markets across the state.

Gov. Kayode Fayemi, inaugurating the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Campaign in Ado-Ekiti, said his administration would increase the vaccination coverage for every resident in the state.

Fayemi, represented by the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani, said his administration was committed to quality healthcare service delivery to people of the state.

The governor said that he would continue to make development of the healthcare sector a deserving priority.

He said that his administration had successfully implemented two phases of vaccination after its launch in March, with more than 338,770 people fully vaccinated against the virus.

Fayemi appealed to people of the state, 18 years and above, to take advantage of the government’s gesture to get themselves vaccinated.

According to him, it is only being fully vaccinated and following laid down protocol that people can be protected from the deadly virus.

The governor listed the institutions that would benefit from the new development to include: Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti and Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti.

Others are: the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero.
