In 2019, Wizkid was featured on Beyoncé’s project The Lion King: The Gift on the collaboration “Brown Skin Girl”, which won him a Grammy Award for Best Music Video at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in March 2021, thereby becoming Nigeria’s first indigenous artist to cart away the American Grammy. Burna Boy also won the award for Best World Music Album at the awards.
