The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the chairman of Nasarawa State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Philip Shekwor, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The abduction of the APC chairman which occurred Saturday night in Lafia, was confirmed by the commissioner of the state police command, Bola Longe in a telephone interview with journalists on Sunday.

CP Longe said Shekwor was kidnapped by large number of gunmen at his residence in Lafia around 11 pm on Saturday and was taken to an unknown destination.
However, the police commissioner, said that the command had dispatched its operatives to comb the bushes and rescue the APC chairman.
