Edo Protesters Allegedly Attacked By Hoodlums, 2 Deaths Recorded (Video) – #EndSARS—-More than a dozen lives has been lost in an attempt to bring about a change, an end to police brutality in Nigeria. Today, 16th October, two fatalities were recorded as Edo Protesters were attacked in Ring Road, Benin.
Hoodlums and thugs had allegedly invaded the site of the Edo Protesters at Benin city with dangerous weapons like machetes, guns etc. leaving two dead and several other injured.
The Governor of the state Godwin Obaseki in a series of tweets after the incident condemned the attack on #EndSARS protesters.
He said, “I have just learnt that hoodlums have attacked #ENDSARS protesters, who have conducted themselves peacefully in Benin City. I extend condolences to the victims of the attacks, including those who lost their lives and others who were injured by the thugs.
