#EndSWAT: How Nigerians Reacts As IG Adamu Changes SARS To “SWAT”––Less than a day after the IG of Police announced the formation of a new police unit to replace the defunt SARS, Nigerians have express disappointment as to his decision.
Adamu Mohammed said the new unit, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) would fill the void of the disbanded SARS, adding that recruitment into the unit has commenced.
Many Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to express their disappointment and disapproval of the SWAT unit.
Many chorused in their tweets that the disbanded SARS was just a camouflage while agitating for the #EndSWAT.
