DG Of WTO RACE: European Union (EU) Pledges Support For Okonjo-IwealaThe Trade organization former leader, Brazilian Roberto Azevedo stepped down from the job at the end of August — a year before his term ended and now 5 people remain in the race to fill his office.

In order to finally put to rest the headwinds the organization has faced, the U.S.-China trade battle, a hobbled arbitration system and a lack of tools to tackle growing challenges such as industrial subsidies, two finalists will be announced after October 6th and a winner by November 7th
