Why I Rejected The Call To Be President of Nigeria, Bishop Oyedepo—The shepherd over the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed that he turned down being President of Nigeria.
While addressing his congregation on Sunday the 4th of October, Oyedepo said being the number one person in Nigeria will be below his status as he would see it as a demotion.
He told continued that God specifically called him in 1984 and asked ff he was interested in becoming a President, but he refused.
Oyedepo added that he currently holds a position 100 times greater than Presidency as over 100 nations are hooked on a single church service conducted by him.
He said:
“I’m saying it again, some are very upset about it, that’s their problem. I will consider it a demotion if I were invited to be the President of this great country.
“It’s a great country, it’s a great honour for anyone to be President but that’s not where I belong. I belong to above all nations.”
