#MANBRI: Fernandes Criticises Teammates After 3-2 Win Against Brighton—-The match against Brighton might have ended in victory for Manchester United, however, for Bruno Fernandes, the games did not turn out as he hoped it would. The Portuguese midfielder criticized himself and his teammates for not giving their absolute best in the course of the game.
The 26-year-old was not pleased with his teammates’ performance on Saturday against the host, Brighton though he scored the vital winner for the Red Devils’ Premier League against Brighton at the Falmer Stadium
According to him, they gave Brighton too much time on the ball and also the way the second goal was conceded.
“It was a difficult game,” Fernandes told BT Sport.
“We know Brighton have a really good team. They can play, they have qualities, they are aggressive.
“In the first half, we left so many spaces for them to play. We were not as aggressive as I wanted.
“We gave away two goals, the penalty I can do much better, I need to stop earlier.
“This second goal, we need to do much better also.
“We made some mistakes, but big teams need to be like that, you need to believe it until the end.
“We created a chance, okay it was a penalty, we scored from a penalty, but if it is not a handball, maybe it goes on goal.
“There is no point saying anything at this point, it is looking forward and thinking again against Brighton to do much better than we did today.”
