BREAKING: Estavao Shines As Chelsea Humiliate Lamine Yamal Led Barcelona In UEFA Champions League
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Chelsea has just defeated Barcelona 3 – 0 in UEFA Champions League at Stamford bridge.
Chelsea have picked up a crucial three points in the Champions League league phase after a memorable victory over Barcelona at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues thought they got off to the perfect start, with Enzo Fernandez scoring in inside four minutes but Wesley Fofana was adjudged to have hit the ball with his arm in the build up. Fernandez had another goal disallowed later in the first-half with the assistant having his flag up for offside.
Chelsea, though, took a deserved lead on 27 minutes. A short corner routine saw Marc Cucurella drill a low cross in towards Pedro Neto, whose flick was turned into his own net by Jules Kounde.
Just before half-time, Barca’s job got even more difficult. Ronaldo Araujo was shown a second yellow card for a clumsy challenge on Cucurella and was ordered to walk down the tunnel.
There was another disallowed goal for Chelsea just after the break. Andrey Santos, with one of his first touches after coming off the bench, finished from inside the box but Alejandro Garnacho strayed offside.
It was 2-0 not long after, though, with Estevao Willian sending Stamford Bridge into raptures with a beautiful solo goal. The 18-year-old Brazilian beat Pau Cubarsi with ease before smashing the ball into the roof of the net in front of the Shed End.
The rest of the second-half was fairly routine for Chelsea, who outclassed Barcelona on the night, and they even had time to add a third. Liam Delap, on as a substitute, finished well after Fernandez laid the ball off to the striker.
