Actor Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has debunked reports that he is sick following a viral Facebook video showing him on a hospital bed and appearing critically ill.
The The clip spread quickly across social media, causing concern among fans who feared the actor was battling a serious health condition.
Reacting in a video shared on Instagram on Friday, Itele dismissed the rumour, saying, “Please avoid any fake news going around about me. As you can see, I am perfectly fine. I am good. The story circulating that I am sick, because those posting that don’t have good plans. I won’t swear. I leave them for God. Please, it is fake. The news you are seeing is fake. I am at peace. The video is old from a battle fought four to five years ago. Please stop spreading fake news. I am strong and perfectly okay.”
He captioned the post, “ATTENTION MY KOLEOSO FAMILY

Please ignore ANY fake news going around about me. I am perfectly fine, healthy, and working as always. Some people just create lies for attention – don’t fall for it. I’m good, my energy is solid.”
He further clarified the clip’s origin, saying, “Kokoko Lara Ota le Nothing do my boss. That video is 4 to 5 years ago. Please don’t believe those fake book people. That video is old video of year.”
His colleague Oluwakemisola Apesin, known as Kemity, who had posted the clip years ago, also reacted. She warned fans not to spread misinformation and urged bloggers and content creators to verify sources before posting.
Itele, who has previously spoken about overcoming difficult moments in his life, reassured fans that he is healthy, working, and not in any medical distress.
