BREAKING: Ashake Foundation Launches The Ashake Skill And Knowledge Acquisition Project (ASKAP) With Itsk Toleram Foundation Support
Ashake Foundation has launched a new phase of its empowerment initiative -the Ashake Skill and Knowledge Acquisition Project (ASKAP) , designed to support selected young mothers in Abuja who are working hard to improve their income and build sustainable livelihoods.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the project, supported by the Itsk Toleram Foundation, provides practical skills training, mentorship, and business guidance to women determined to change their economic situations.
Through ASKAP, participants will gain hands-on vocational skills, learn basic financial literacy, and receive ongoing mentorship to help them transition from training to earning.
Building on the tested Nwa-Girl Apprenticeship Model, ASKAP integrates hands-on learning with peer mentorship and community support, ensuring that participants are not only trained but also guided toward lasting growth and independence.
According to the Founder of Ashake Foundation, Mrs. Mayowa Adegbile, the initiative is part of the organization’s ongoing effort to promote sustainable empowerment rather than one-off interventions. “We realized that many young mothers are talented and hardworking, but lack access to the right opportunities and guidance,” she explained. “ASKAP was created to bridge that gap , to give women not just skills, but also the knowledge, confidence, and community support needed to succeed.”
