SEE URL AND APPLY NOW: FG Opens Applications For Nationwide Agric Scheme

The Federal Government has formally announced the opening of applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP), an ambitious intervention aimed at transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector through large-scale mechanisation and the empowerment of young and female agripreneurs.

The initiative, led by the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s broader strategy to modernise farming, boost food production and reduce the country’s dependence on manual agricultural labour.

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, disclosed on Thursday, November 6, 2025, that the application process is already underway and free of charge. He urged interested Nigerians to apply through the official portal, https://boanig.com, before the strict deadline of November 10, 2025.

According to BOA, RHAMP is designed to nurture a fresh network of mechanisation service providers across the country. It places particular emphasis on women and youths who often struggle to access capital for tractors and heavy-duty implements. Mechanisation companies seeking to expand their fleet are also eligible.

The programme offers affordable access to tractors and implements under a structured leasing arrangement. Beneficiaries will receive a three-year servicing plan at verified workshops or mobile hubs.

Repayment is tied to usage and earnings, allowing farmers and service providers to pay gradually as their businesses grow.

The Bank of Agriculture also noted that the programme introduces digital monitoring through IoT technology to ensure proper usage and to support timely maintenance.

Officials say the plan represents a major step toward modernising Nigeria’s food system, improving productivity and strengthening rural livelihoods.

It also complements the administration’s drive to increase domestic food output and reduce the cost of production for small and medium-scale farmers.

They added that the programme is geared toward placing modern tools directly in the hands of operators who need them most, while creating new opportunities for agricultural entrepreneurship across all states.

TGM recalls that in June 2025, President Tinubu launched the first phase of RHAMP, which included the distribution of 2,000 modern tractors, 50 industrial-grade land preparation bulldozers, 12 fully equipped mobile workshops and over 8,000 specialised farming implements.

During the unveiling, the President described the initiative as a bold step toward a more sustainable agricultural future for Nigeria. He stated that the government remained committed to delivering on its promises of food sufficiency and improved agricultural output.

“Today, we take a monumental leap forward with the introduction of state-of-the-art tractors through our new agricultural mechanisation programme. We are very proud of what we are doing,” Tinubu said at the launch.

He stressed that the initiative would fast-track land clearing, expand commercial-scale farming and address long-standing barriers to agricultural growth.

With the application portal now open, the Federal Government is calling on women, youths and mechanisation firms to take advantage of the opportunity.

The Bank of Agriculture stressed that the programme is not only about providing tractors but about building a pipeline of trained, equipped and financially supported service providers who can help unlock Nigeria’s full agricultural potential.

The government expressed confidence that RHAMP will significantly improve food security, create jobs and support the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
