BREAKING: Civil War In Gaza As Hamas Fights Gazan Clans Ahead Of Hostage Release
Hamas has now start fighting against Gazan clans that oppose their rule.
The fighting is taking place in the areas where the Israeli Army has withdrawn from ahead of the hostage release.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Hamas has engaged in intense gunfights against a rival clan in Gaza City, according to local media.
Footage of masked gunmen shooting in alleyways in the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City circulated on Sunday, with some suggesting that Hamas was cracking down on the Dormush clan, a widely known family in Gaza.
A Gazan, speaking to The Telegraph on condition of anonymity due to safety concerns, said armed Hamas forces apparently launched an attack on the Jordanian Hospital in southern Gaza City.
The source said: “The hospital had been used as a refuge by the Dormush family after their homes were destroyed by the Israeli army.
“Hamas reportedly demanded that the family vacate the hospital, but they refused, leading to an exchange of gunfire that resulted in several Hamas casualties, including the son of commander Imad Aqel.”
They added that Hamas was reportedly carrying out “field executions of several Dormush family members both civilians and fighters.”
The Telegraph has been unable to verify the claims, which were also made by other Gazans on social media.
Meanwhile, a Hamas-linked Telegram account announced that Salah al-Jaafari, a Gazan influencer, was killed by the militia in Gaza City.
Hamas has reportedly cracked down on both “collaborators” and rival militias in recent days following the ceasefire with Israel, in an attempt to assert its power in the territory.
